The Revolution or Evolution or Confession of this blog

Is it revolution that i’m talking about this blog?? Or am i capable of making a big turnaround to this blog.? Maybe i’ll just wait for it to evolve by itself. Nevertheless, having this blog in the first place was never about getting into the blogging world, but more into searching what people around the web saying that this is the platform and place if you want to make money.

Hmmm. perhaps yes….and it is yes….but i think i rather not have achieve my own satisfaction on having this blog.

Or should i say that i have a confession to make that this blog is more about following people and never have its own identity….people blog…so do i…i like to follow….what a lousy excuses. Despite paying RM 200 a year and RM 40 which total up to RM 240 a year for maintaining web hosting with SKSA Technologies Sdn. Bhd. from this internet-webhosting.com services, i manage to make roughly around USD 500 from adsense alone since 2006 :P….lousy huh, and it came from this blog of mine which is fully an automated blog Car-O-Focus.

Well, what else should there be???? lately i have ventured into this affiliate program from Clickbank, and since 12 October 2008, i have managed my own advertising campaign with Google Adwords. Just to infom you guys that i manage to be able to sell 2 e-book for USD 8.10. …sounds little huh!!! Well i think its a good start for me in this afiliate world i guess.

Lets have a look together of how this blog evolve….( after not blogging for more than 1 year)!!

Getting only the “Tulen” Products Attitude…

I’ve read this post on 31st July 2007 at Low Yat about the campaign by the Malaysian Government on their effort to promote the usage of only originals. Yes i mean original not pirated software or programmes for the Malaysians.

The campaigns i believe would certainly to educate and at the same time encourage the right attiude towards buying only the “not pirated” products…as claimed by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs;

“Challenging current attitudes and changing mindsets is one of the most difficult and complex of tasks. However, I am convinced not only of the need to do so, but in our ability to rise to the challenge, “ he said.

They have introduced six type of awareness programs to the public ;

At the initial stage, there are six components of the campaign – Sikap Tulen Profesional (Professional); Sikap Tulen Pengarah or Sikap Tulen Director; Sikap Tulen Syarikat or Sikap Tulen Company; Sikap Tulen Masyarakat or Sikap Tulen Society; Sikap Tulen Mall IT or Sikap Tulan IT Mall; and OpsTulen.

So…..what’s the catch for the nation at large….well…as i am not that “tulen” type of people yet really can be influenced if would like to be “tulen”. I believed that the main aims of the Ministry and the Malaysian Government with the collaboration of the Business Software Alliance (BSA) is to nurture to development of the intellectual property as well as to protect them.

Furthermore, development of the intellectual property would be protected. Now…having your own products or work being copied by others would eventually undermine your intellectual contribution and would demotivates you to contribute more in terms of ideas.

The “Tulen” attitude ;

Sikap Tulen Profesional (Professional) aims at building a new generation of professionals who are personally convinced in using only original software. They are examples of people who live out the Sikap Tulen culture at the workplace, not merely in attitude but also in their actions as true professionals.

Would you be that “Tulen” when buying a software in Low Yat??

Make Sure Your Goals Are S.M.A.R.T.

I believe in life motivation, sometimes it would give encouragement in pursuing your life, but most of the time, motivation came about setting up goals in life and a milestone to carve, here’s an article by Phillip Woodson on setting a goal using S.M.A.R.T techniques. I believe some of the management level have apply this techniques and i myself have been taught with this techniques in INTAN which is an institute that provides training and education to public services.

However, here’s a pic on SMART “big foot”!! heheh…just to attract your eyeballs

By Phillip Woodson

We all have goals in our lives and I think it’s safe to say that we all want to see our goals become reality. You may not do goal-setting exercises and you may not write out your goals, but I can promise you that you do have goals. You may want a better life, a faster or nicer car, a bigger house, more money, more time, a better job, or anything else. These are all goals.

Since some of our goals come to fruition and some don’t, many people might wonder what it is that makes the difference. Well, there are many different theories about goal-setting and I’m sure there is some accuracy in all of them. What I am writing about here is the attribute that makes goals more achievable.

So what is this attribute, this quality, this special something that will make your goal more achievable? It’s called making your goals SMART. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Time-oriented. So what does this mean?

Specific – You’re goal must be specific. If you set your goal as “I want more money” and you find a $100 bill on the ground, then your goal has been achieved, although that is probably not what you meant by more money. This is why you must be specific about your goal. If you want to earn an extra $100,000 this year then your goal must be “I want to earn an extra $100,000.”

Measurable – This means that you must have a way of measuring when your goal is achieved. If your goal is to lose 20 pounds, you can easily measure that goal with a scale. If your goal is to be a happier person, you need to ask yourself, “How will I know when I am a happier person?” You should always have a way of measuring the completion of your goal.

Actionable – You must have some way of taking action to get closer to your goal’s completion. If you have a goal that you just can’t take action towards, then the likelihood of your goal become reality is much less than if you can help create it. If your goal is to find your ideal mate, then you must create a way of finding this person. Where can you go to meet him or her? When will you go? With whom will you go?

Realistic – Your goals must be realistic. If your goal is to become a famous actor, then you need to make sure that you are realistically able to do so. If you are living on a farm in the country and you don’t know anyone in the movie business, then the chances of you becoming a famous actor are not as good as they would be if you lived in a city where there is a large acting community. This is also closely related to your goals being actionable.

Time-oriented – This is a very important aspect of SMART goals. You must set a deadline for your goals. You can set goals for a matter of weeks, months, or even years. If you want to meet your ideal partner, get a new car, buy a house, get a new job, or anything else – set a deadline. This deadline must be realistic. If your goal is to lose 20 pounds it may not be realistic to set a one-week deadline. However if you set out to lose exactly 20 pounds within 3 months by exercising 4 days per week for 1 hour and eating a low-fat diet filled with nutritious foods and you follow through with it, then you will be certain that in 3 months you will be 20 pounds slimmer.

These five key aspects of goals will make your goals more achievable and more motivating. Your goals will be easier to attain and you may even find your goals coming to fruition before the deadline that you’ve set. So either now or the next time you set a goal, make sure the goal is SMART.
