DUSTBUSTER PIVOT!!!

My wife bought this….Shes said that she is having difficulties while cleaning the unreacheble place on the every edge of the house….Feedback??? Very powerfull…..the shuhhhhh sound is great.

Another picture of my wife unwrapping the DUSTBUSTER…Well, it’s a Black n Decker.

Something in life we might not be able to do it alone, in that case we really need some assistance which is handy at times….so DUSTBUSTER is the answer for house cleaning chores.!!!

Less Productivity During Evenings

I feel that my productivity in office diminished over the hours especially in the evening. Saying that everyone is still energize yet i’m the vice-versa. Thats why during my peak performance which is in the morning, i tried to do the hard thinking task at the office and down to those housekeeping work in the evening. etc- signing out memos, writing letter with ready made templates etc etc.

I find that some of my colleagues are very energetic and can even stayback late at night and reaching home at about 10 to 12 pm. Wow…..this is the example of breaking the dimisnihing law of economics.

However, for me, there are many thing despite work that i have to look after, my son, wife and my family is the main priority. Others, i would say have their own strategy in prioritizing their needs. Some of them do not prioritize at all and ended up buried in the tension mood.

What do you guys prefer?? to prioritize your matters or just let it be on the happy go lucky way!?

Family Trip to Penang - 7 Nov 2008

Again, my wife, Nik Arshad and I went to Penang last Friday to meet my parents. We’re heading after work hours and that means  i drove at night. We leave at about 8.30pm, negotiating with traffic jams as people are going and coming back to work or having some other important things that they have to attend.

Well, it takes about 4 hours of journey from PJ to Penang and you might want to have at least 3 pit stops. For me, this pit stop rejuvenates me as I’m driving on a long haul trips.

Nothing much happened in Penang, despite having my favorite dishes of Nasi Kandar and some fun at my parents’ house is indeed something joyful to cherished.

On Saturday morning (8/11/08), i went out for a car wash and had a breakfast at this sideline mamak stall along “Jalan Transfer”, having one of my favorite “roti bakar telur 1/2 masak”= Toested Bread with 1/2 boiled egg”; correct me if i’m wrong. Having it with teh tarik…what a wonderful breakfast i said…this is the best thing if you want to talk about Penang.

These pictures are taken from Yusman’s blog, but it is the same thing though.

In the evening, my wife and i went to Gurney Plaza with the intention of window shopping, but we stumbled into an idea of watching movies since we left Nik Arshad back home with our parents. So, i agreed with my wife since she is the one who proposed watching the James Bond Movie, Quantum of Solace.

The part that i like about this movies is, an Alfa Romeo in pursuit with Aston Martin. As usual, Bond drives an Aston and those bad guys drives an Alfa,…ooops there are two Alfas to be exact. Both wrecked by Bond in that movie. One crashed with a lorry heading head to head and the other one slides off in the peak of the mountain. All wrecked made by bond. It is a true action and i like bond’s British accent. Those action lover, i recommend to watch it.

Sunday - (9/11/2008), - Waking up at about 9.30 am, having milo and 2 slices of gardenia bread for my breakfast….no more Jalan Transfer..huhu..At about 12.30 pm, my mom requested me to buy Nasi Kandar again at KAYU Bukit Jambul….hmmm…..it again strikes and make me to imagine the delicacy and yummiest of these NASI KANDAR….what a charm this food had….Sorry though, i forgot to snap a picture of it.

So i went for it, but i had a detour….escaping island to Bukit Mertajam….just for a sight seing …guess what i found; A nice Fiat Marea at the second hand car dealer. I stopped and taking a look at it, there were no sales person as the place closed on sundays…huhu…if not i would have test drive that car. Here are some pictures of it; Very Nice with a plate number of 2222;

Its a Yellowish Pearl Paint…

Rear View

Nice Number Huh…

The Leather Interior…Beige cream, looks exclusive.

Still love my Citroen ZX 1993 park in front of the second hand car dealer.

Ok….time to head home after having a lunch, driving back to PJ from Penang. Surely i will try to give a glimpse of what happening in Penang in my next post; here are some pictures of Nik Arshad and my wife as we headed back home;

Nik Arshad sitting at the rear seat. With his own custom made seat!! (hehe)

My wife and my son.

Well, that’s all of my post tonight, will again write anything about my family in the next post.

“THE STORY ABOUT LIFE BEGINS”

Congrats to OBAMA!

OK, My friend…when we met in Bangkoks says that he doens’t like Obama for his proposed linean policy and using this ethanol as a main source of energy. So i said that this explains that your are a republicans…:)

Well, as a Malaysians, i salute Obama for his victory of being elected the 44th President of The USA and hope that he will adhere to his “change can happen” and being the first African-American for the presidency.

I may not want to analyze nor comments on his outstanding votes that he got, we can get it all over the place for sure. The only thing is that, from the news last night, people all over the world are very much excited with Obama’s result. They were celebrating, dancing and singing like the victory is theirs.!

With that, I congratulate The newly Mr President, Barrack Obama.

Some Office Chats - Personal Money

I’m having a chat just now,

My collegue were talking about anything that relates to everyone’s interest. But the one that caught everybody is about the personal money.

My Friend (1)

Say that you can cut your debt lifespan if you can pay monthly debt commitment twice a month by dividing your monthly payment . In conventional way, 2 times a month paying your debt would amount up to 24 times of paying a year, but it is not going to happen like that, you are actually paying 26 times a year.!! Great huh?? Thats what my friend says according to the computation of the bank. At the end of the year, your statement could have been recorded 26 times of payment made for that particular year

My Friend (2)

He says that if you have a RM100,000, then you should be able to deposit your money in a Foreign Fixed Deposit for a day and reap its return of about 7 % with CIMB bank….Is it true!!! Where’s my calculator??

Just for poinders….

Is Giant Hypermarket a SCAM!!!

Is this a scam? , I went to GIANT Hypermarket at Kelana Jaya and this incident happened to me around last month if i’m not mistaken. I looked at the flyers here hanging that says MILO is RM12.99 compared to usual price of RM15.19. So i took a pack of MILO from its gondola and headed straight to the sales counter and to my surprise that it actually priced at RM15.19 not the RM12.99 as what it says from the receipts printed.

Well, at the same time i bought Nik Arshad’s promils infant milk along with Milo that cost around RM32++. I’m not satisfied, telling again to the cashier that there might be a confusion with the price. The cashier told me to go to the customer services and lodge a complaint as the price tag have been recorded at the sales point and for me to be able to get back any refund i was ask to go to the customer services.

Weird, Confused, Anger with the explanation by the customer services rep. , she says that you can get this price with the condition of “Purchase With Purchase” and must be RM50 and above for me to be entitled for that RM12.99 MILO. What the hell…how should i know, that magic “P.W.P” word is actually “Purchase With Purchase” and i am still not entitled for that discount price due to the fact that my spending do not comply with minimum RM50 expenditure. Helll….there is no wordings at the flyers saying that it must be above RM50??? What a confusion here and weird off course.

Nothing much i could say about it, should i argue on this with the customer service rep? it is a waste of my time. If i were to argue with customer services for say about 20 minutes, i would only get back RM2.20 which is a low value engaging in arguing.

But am i not being a smart consumer?? What if there are 1000 customers happened to be in the same situation like me in a month? Simple calculation might be 1000 x RM2.20 would be RM2200. Isn’t crazy guys!!! Money making out of thin air and confusion.

This is the tactics and indeed a bad marketing tactics made by this genius GIANT hypermarket. Furthermore, i observed Carrefour and TESCO are into this tactics too.

So…if there anything that the consumer could do and my points to ponder is;

1. Is this a fair trade practices for all the hypermarkets concern??

2. Self claiming to yourself to be the lowest price in town but engaging into this bad marketing tactics?

3. Am i overcloud by the grandeur of the modern shopping lifestyles and couldn’t care more about this bad tactics of yours? If there is 1000 or 10000 customers like me?

4. Keep to yourselves and think that we still do not have any strong consumer movement yet as far as i’m concern.

I’m Still at Penang.

Yes…but then i’m goin back to KL tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile….before my next posting about Penang, i would like you all to see this picture of the mixture between Citroen ZX and Peugeot 306

This picture is from the mycitroen.org forum where the Malaysian citroen’s enthusiast meets and talk only of one thing which is citroen…

Can you believe that despite having to facelift the malaysian made Perodua Kancil to Daihatsu Mira, Malaysians is also capable of transforming the continental cars too…The mechanic is a Malay and his workshop is situated at Batu Caves, Gombak
Just to say that we do have a great nation… and we should be proud of it.

I’m going to Penang this Saturday!!

Yes…i’m goint to Penang this Saturday…actually i’ve got some official meeting in Penang and having this opportunity to see what’s happening in Penang will be updated in my next posting!!

Time for a new set of Rubber

I was having some curiosity about my car….it’s the tyres….i looked at it closely with the utmost attention….and i found it to wear out and having nearly 0% left to its end of life span. SO….that’s why after meeting with Nik Fahim, i rushed ahead to Bangi at Seksyen 15 for the tyre replacement. That area have some promotions on tyres. Not cheap tyres….but then it came with a competitive price tag and a band name too.

I went to two place to survey, at first premises… My eyeballs attracted to its banner on their promotion of tyres for the size of 195/50/15 at RM115. However, i was not attended to and the stuff looks very busy changing tyres and doing repairs on its clients’ car. Since i think that i don’t deserve that kind of attention and i was not entertained at all, i buzz off to the next premises.

The next premises is just around the corner within 5 blocks from the first that i went. Looking at the banner, the price is slightly higher for the tyre size of 195/55/15 that cost about RM 125 per piece. But the staff is friendly to entertain my queries and the deal went on.

So…here it goes….hehe i mean my pocket starting to get lighter and lighter this month…RM 555 to be exact including labour + alignment + balancing + labour.

Getting the new tyres fitted to the rims

Balancing take places

My previous tyres….damn…the worn part is obvious especially the front tyres. The upper part i you realize is my front tyre.

Togol…Ayam Togol…without the tyres

Now… the Alignment take place…putting this gadget on the rims.

Fuyooohhh….all red….the guy said that if you remain with your current alignment, it will damage your tyres and the worn will turn out faster.

Hehe…Now Ok Al ready…..how they did that huh???

Yess….they just adjust the chamber ….

Precise alignment surely guarantees you a good ride

Damn….the Gen-2 air filter cost you RM38, i can get it from internet much cheaper at RM18. The price is doubled!!!

About the Ride

Yes…the ride is much more firm and you can feel the grip on the road. Handlingwise superp!!….Now this is what i called Gen-2. Heheh

Just another day of my ramblings.

My Wife’s New “htc Touch” PDA Phone

She just bought it….i can’t believe it now still….With the hefty tag price of RM2049, surely it is hard to swallow at first, but then she just did it. The usage of this htc touch PDA phone is applicable to the newbie who ae getting started to organized their work in an electronic/ digital matter.

Surely, htc touch PDAs do make my wife’s work more organized since the nature of her work are on educating the young consumer at school that requires outstations, and lots of talks elsewhere. Her packed scheduled have been much more organized with this new htc touch PDA.

Coming back from Pulau Kapas, one of many outstations that she went. The feedback on this htc touch PDA is indeed a good experience for her (as a newbie in PDA ofcourse!!).

I myself really having into this gadgetry thing…maybe it interest you the most. Makes your eyeballs stuck on it for a while. Especially exploring my wife’s htc touch PDA phones.
